As its name implies, this MCC (from the French ‘demi” or half ‘sec’ which means dry) is guaranteed to instil feelings of unadulterated bliss. This bubbly was crafted from a selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from our Robertson Estate vineyard, from Stellenbosch and hand-selected parcels from the Western Cape. Both varietals were handpicked – the Chardonnay for fruit and elegance and the Pinot Noir for complexity and length of flavour. After settling of juice the two varieties are fermented separately and then cross blended along with reserve wine if necessary, bottled and left for 15 to 18 months yeast contact time before disgorgement. A special selection of liqueur d’expédition was added to produce this delectable demi-sec. This is the perfect bubbly for those who prefer their fizz less dry. Delightfully light yeasty aromas are complemented by hints of butterscotch, honey and praline.
